Over 170,000 grants have been entered from the
T3010 information returns for the years 1999-2004 with more added each week.
This represents over $9.4 billion in recent giving. FoundationSearch utilizes advanced data visualization software to provide intuitive access to this granting information.
By using an interactive grant distribution map or "Visualizer" you are
now able to display multi-level granting activity for the entire country.
Grant Visualizer
You are able to customize the Grant Visualizer based on several search
options available just below the map. Once your selections have been made,
click "Go" to build your map.
As shown in the sample below, by placing your mouse cursor over a specific
province or territory, you can view the total
number and value of grants provided to recipients in that region relative to
your search criteria...

Clicking on a province or territory in the national map shown above, brings up a summary of grants made to
recipients in that region based on the search criteria you've selected when
creating your map...
From the "Summary View", you can click on "View List" to view a list of grants made
to recipients in that province or territory...

detailed Summary Profile for that foundation...

specific grants and grant recipients using this intuitive interface.
As with the Foundation Grant Visualizer, the Grant Analyzer also allows you to view your results in "Map View", "Summary
View" or "List View"

We've upgraded to a powerful, yet easy to use new search interface that will allow our subscribers to identify more funding opportunities for their organizations. Advanced, field based searching produces more relevant search results. Searches can be conducted by funder
organization name, location (city, province or postal code), charitable
registration number, asset range, total granting and giving category/interest.

Visualizer
Enables users to view international granting on a global
level via point-and-click on a World map interface. This interactive map allows
users to "drill-down" into specific regions of the world to view grants made to
the various philanthropic sectors in that region.
The Global Grant Visualizer also displays your results in context using various
regional maps across the globe....
The map shown below represents grants distributed throughout Eastern Europe; By
placing your mouse over Hungary, you can view the number of grants received and
their total value...
...by clicking on Hungary, you are presented with a list of grants including the
granting foundation, giving category, grant size, granting year and grant
description if available.
